Thanks for taking the time to develop this idea, I like Luke111's idea of the grille without the light and depending on cost, I'd be interested in a group buy as well/

Once I get all the kinks worked out I will have a solid number for all options including pre installed versions.

Here is the finished drawing.

-Stainless laser cut sheet
-powder coated BK303 matte black with soft texture.
-Stainless black socket head bolts
-Stainless mounts with adjustment slots
-Black nylon washers to protect finish
-Stainless nylon flange nuts

shane, will there be an option so one can simply order an oem early style toyota emblem and attach it to the front? that would be sweet. I am not interested in the light portion, just the grill that I can attach a fj40 emblem to.

Yes. Do you have said emblem? I need measurements of the mounting threaded stock. There are two versions, yes? I would need both if possible.

I don't have the emblem on hand, it is the metal one that comes stock on a 1973 fj40.

I am having the same issues. I ordered a leather kit for my 80 over black friday, a kit came up for sale on MUD and I called to see if he could refund me my money so I can buy the kit, and didnt get back to me until new years, said he had been in the hospital since christmas. Sent a picture from the hospital bed. I said I would get back to him in a week, well that has come and gone, sent countless text messages, emails, cant leave voicemails because it isnt set up. He said I would have my kit within 3 weeks after order and its been longer and nothing. Dont know what to do now, dont have my kit or my money.

I am in for my LX450.

I may be wrong, but I have heard the LX grill is slightly different in dimensions due to different head light bezels. So, two different grills for LC/LX may be needed. Maybe someone who knows for sure if the grills are different could chime in.
