I can vouch as a buyer that is not affiliated with 2000UJZ except to participate in both group buys that he has put on and he is a stand-up guy and so is his brother. There is no-one else that I know hat has 25% of the knowledge regarding LED's than Expedition Lighting Systems. Just my 0.02 FWIW
 
This just got posted up to my Facebook comment that I left them last week. They removed the other comments though. I have no idea if this is true or not.

Yep, another delay in shipping, thanks to my wonderful freight forwarder. Lights have been going out. Last of the orders going out tomorrow.

And this on their front page:
We're not in Mexico with anyone's money! We're working our @$$e$ off to get everything out of the door. Supplier issues, forwarder issues, non payment issues, and a couple of Chinese holidays have produced the perfect storm for holding up the shipping process.

I don't believe the non payment issues though. He posted that everyone on this forum had paid in full. I have not received any tracking number as of tonight so I am not holding my breathe.

Well I just made a post on there so we'll see how long it takes before they remove it. ;)

It seems that there has been one problem after another with this group buy.

Supplier issues, forwarder issues, Chinese holidays... You name it, we had it delay us.

Ultimately, you all paid the price. We are embarrassed. We really are.

All shipments are going out today and tomorrow.

No exceptions.

EVERYONE should have a tracking number by 8PM tomorrow evening.

If you do not have a tracking number by then, email me at troy@treklights.com so we can get your order sorted.

We started this with the best intentions.

We let you down. We are sorry.

That all may be true, but you logged in multiple times, saw the concerns and not once updated these guys on the issues. That's BS :rolleyes:

troy, dont even know if u read any of this anymore but....
I am new to any forums, but joined this one cause well it is just cool, anyway this is my first and probably will be my only gb thx to this experience. I have no right to blast u, well I do, but wont, this is just advice. I own my own company, nothing huge, but I do ok. Staying in touch w/ my clients/customers is KEY! That is all u had to. Simple thing, just say hey guys here is an update on the lights....or got some of lights in but not all of them, is there any of u that can hold off a bit n I will get the ones out to people who need em asap....or sorry we f ed up this thing was bigger than we thought. Honestly anything would have been better than what u did, or rather did not do.
All of the people posting here seem pretty smart to me and prob would have much more tolerant if u just woulda told em whats up. My only hope is that when we all get our lights and should there be a prob w/ them, u will be a stand up guy n honor any issues, under warranty or out of warranty, that would prob help restore some faith n treklights/you. Just advice not bashing, take it or leave I dont care, just give me my light!!
To the rest of yall sorry for the lengthy post, and I am glad I joined IH8MUD, I just hope I can learn to use computer better so I can post pics n stuff in future, I'm old school pen n paper kinda guy :)

Hmm. Looks like things may be moving forward for some people. For me, it appears that this is the same song, just a different verse. I really hope I get a tracking number tomorrow. (Wednesday) I was promised that my shipment would go out today. I've emailed/facebooked and (surprise!) I got no response. At this point, if he's not going to ship them tomorrow, I want to know, and I want to know immediately. The absolutely only thing that is preventing me from ordering my lights from someone else is not wanting to have two sets of lights arrive and then having to deal with returning one set or selling them.
 
Just checked my email and got a tracking number. Now I'll see if it starts moving in the UPS system tomorrow. Fingers crossed.:bounce:

Same for me. Here's to hoping things turn out OK and those of us still in this get our lights!!

Unfortunately, all this means is that TrekLights has created the shipping tag from their computer and UPS was notified.

A UPS shipping label has been created. Once the shipmentarrives at our facility, the tracking status--including the scheduled delivery date--will be updated.

They did the same thing to a group over at the Taco and 4runner board but nothing else ever happened.

Good luck to everyone that is still in on the GB. I was able to bail and get a refund so this will be the last post from me on this.

I love Google. I searched for 2013 Chinese holidays. There was one day. At the beginning of the month. ONE. DAY. April 4. Supposedly, the lights were shipped after that, so I guess we're calling bullsh*t on that excuse too.

I posted this on the TrekLights Facebook page. He deleted my other post where I called him out, so I'm sure that this one will disappear soon as well:

"Troy, this is just stupid. You've made promises and I don't know if I'm just one of the lucky ones that keeps falling through the cracks or whether you're just full of it. You promised my lights were shipping yesterday. You promised on the various forums that everyone would have a tracking number yesterday by 8pm. You promised that if a tracking number was not received, to email troy@treklights.com and it would be immediately sorted out.

Well, so far you've broken each and every one of your NEW promises as far as I'm concerned. I have no lights. I have no tracking information. I have not been able to reach you via email. I've given up on calling your phone numbers as you have never bothered to answer them or even return one of the many voicemail messages I have left. I hesitate to start the mudslinging, but at this point, I see you as a liar and a thief. I know that as soon as you see this you will delete it, just as you deleted the last post. For whatever time this remains up, I hope this serves as a warning to others. We have all maintained that if you would just COMMUNICATE with your customers, you would not be in this boat. "

I'm done. I hope that somehow, some way, anyone that searches for Trek Lights finds the threads in not just this forum, but the other 3 (or more?) forums that he's managed to screw people in.

mine said that for over a week before it changed..

that said... I did recieve my first 36" bar. I ordered two, one spot, one flood. I don't know which one I got, because there is NO literature or anything inside... guess i'll hafta just figure it out.

this was my first group buy and man, this was rough. I woulda just rather paid full retail from someone who has their s*** together.
 
I finally got a tracking number but not suppose to be at my door till the 9th. Also it says its only 9lbs and I ordered 1-22" bar and 9-of the smaller spots and I would assume all that would weigh more than 9 lbs. Anyone know how much a 22" bar would weigh?
