So no one else was scared of the cliff side "trail" out of the canyon in the rain ?

I think I was ready for a beer after the switchback.... But we still had to pass that fawking Rock !

One of the advantages to having been typically in the back, as again this day, was to look ahead and say to yourself, "Well, they're all still alive, so the odds look good for me to make it."

And I'm not sure if this is spotting the line of the shelf road shuffle or if this was the demo in how to Poop without your pett as andy said he had mastered this craft.

Let's take a step back. Seems no one mentioned this innocent little lakebed road terminated into a vertical wall. Look close for 3 80s and a 60 if resolution allows.... Or I'll have cam dig up steves copy ;)

I believe that's a NorCal issue backwoods bidet. So fresh and so clean clean

Scale. Look closely. There are four trucks in this picture on the middle long switchback going up to the left. C-drew is out in front. Cameron, Pablo and the Fields are a tight trio providing mutual aid and comfort quite a ways behind. Just looking at this pic makes me pucker up all over again. But they were still alive so I pressed on.

There is no way on MUD to get my 36 Mp file uploaded. So click on this link to see it. You will note the icon showing the availability of various displayed picture sizes in the bottom right hand corner: Secret Gallery - pryormemories

I like the fact that I just sat back, put it in 4Lo, and enjoyed the ride.

Going down, and coming back up.

When s*** don't matter, when s*** is what it is, when you don't give a fawk, rolling up and down these hills are much easier.

:)

(I am absolutely speaking for myself. No one else on this trip.).

LAWD JEBUS!! I would have never found waldo and his friends. That puts a lot of things in major perspective and makes the concern about that "damn rock" much more understandable....

Yeah bro.

So after we climb the infinitely huge vertical wall, hang a tire over the edge of the cliff to scoot around the fallen rock, and Andy freestyle stand-poops into a wag bag in the middle of the trail, we retrace our steps back up the secret trail.

Johnny navigating around the giant holes that are fuller from the rain...

Then we get to the giant ledge that guards the entrance to that bitchen canyon run.

Andy is the first up, and I see his truck fully sliding all the way across from right to left as he heats up his tires and burns them down to the sticky rubber before they finally grab hold and launch him up.

I go right to the still warm & sticky rocks on the left and climb right up.

I spot Paul, and instead of using arm signals, tell him to "just bring it. Let Jesus take the wheel." That strategy worked surprisingly well.

Johnny refuses to hand the wheel over and will have to do the slip 'n slide to make it...

Steve1's Caterpillar D9 with crawler gears doesn't even have to slow down. He just bulldozers his way through...

Actually... my dad decided to walk out of the shower tent 100% naked just as the house boat and associated jet skis drove by which triggered a lot of high fives and finger pointing!
