Any idea what time you Guys plan to be there? Missed FN this year, would like to check WORP out. Drove by there Turkey season, but all I could see was the MX course from the road. Any plans to gather up somewhere? Thanks, Al

Just keep monitering the forum Al. I'm sure we'll meet up somewhere.

I go a couple of my other buddies coming too.

I heard Miescha is getting 37's installed tomorrow. Go Miescha!

Double check your text message. He specifically told me straight 40's.

Evidently 37 wasn't a good year, .

Sure as sh?t, he wasn't going to p.foot around with the little 35's.

He's also scrapping the m12000 and ARB, and just going to run a M1 Abraham front brush guard with a 200 T winch.

Jeez, a 1800 watt ham radio, 40" tires, a 200 T winch.

What's next, a supercharger. Oh sh"t I forgOt, he already had one, it sat on the shelf for a few years AND then he SOLD IT!!!!!!

You talkin about Micky D's at 67 and W? Sounds good to me. Got a buddy bringing his Jeep, we been talkin about goin there for awhile. Be nice to go with someone that kind'a knows the layout. Al

How in god's name did you ever get all of this stuff on your 80?

CDL switch, hand throttle, OME Springs & Shocks, ARB, Warn M12000, Milford Barrier, Dual Optima Blues, extended breathers, OEM dash cupholder, 285/75/16 BFG AT, Landtank seat rails, Slee AC dryer & T-case skid plates, Slee light & aux harnesses, Slee SS brake lines (frame->axle->caliper), V-1 with remote display, Icom IC-7000, Yaesu 8900R, Cobra 75wstx, Larsen NMO-2/70 & NMO-27, 100-series pads .

It must have taken years.

Oh wait, I didn't actually install any of that stuff - I just bought it and left it sitting on the shelf. Do I have to install it before I list it in my sig????

Ooops. :grinpimp:

I was retired until recently, so I had a bit more free time.

You know me - go big or go home (I'll be at home if anyone needs me).

Oh yeah, I'm hard-core all the way ("This trail isn't going to scratch my paint is it? Just to be sure, can someone get out and snap the twigs off the branches before I get there?").

Damn, that was harsh.

You cut me, you cut me deep.

I guess nothing is ever forgotten on mud. It was a moment of weakness for christ's sake! :bang:

Super nice 40 Al - someone else here has a super spiffy one, but he's afraid to take it out of the garage.

Glad to see someone that knows how to use their 40.

Most of us will also be on CB during the trip down and on the trail. We've used channel 15 in the past, but watch this thread for specifics near the end of the week.

Cheers!

Guys:

Just wanted to make sure the choice of trails will not be over my head as far as difficultly. What do you think Joe and Jason? You know my rig and capabilities. Two of the last three times I've had "issues". I just don't want to hold any of you back.

Steve

If I thought for one second I was going to have issues and bang up my daily driver, I wouldn't go out and play with it.
We all go down the same trails. Unless you're toyminator who can basically go anywhere he wants, you're not holding any of us back. We all have basically the same trucks. You've just had a couple mishaps.

One thing that may help, would be to put down the bottle of Jack a little earlier in the morning. Sobriety is sorta important to keeping the sheet metal straight. I'm not one to Judge, but doing shooters on your hood at 7am was a little over the top last time.

You have sliders now, which help you keep a line, rather than having to zig zag around the rocks.

See ya at 8.

Glad to have you're coming up.

I will be comming up from the south and over from salem, not I44 but thanks for the offer. I will call when I get close.

Rekcut, you probley allready know this, but you can run Hwy 32 from Salem all the way to 67. Gets kind'a curvey from Bixby over to 21, but all good road. To save a few miles, you could take the cutoff for ST Joe st park, will bring you out by Micky D's. Al

Looks like 32 runs into park hills. You say there is a turn before that that goes into farmington?

My truck is on the lift at Telle Tire getting 40s as we speak - I'll post pics after I pick it up around 5:30pm.

:bounce::steer::bounce:

Did you get the 10 ply or the 4 ply sidewalls?

YouTube - iah

I didn't eve know there was an option (and I don't think there is an option). There was only one 315/75/16 tire listed on the Toyo site in the MT tire. It said 10-ply. My credit card says $1600 and change so it better be right.

Also, they just called and said it was done, but I won't make it before they close so I won't see it until after dark. But they said the spare was under the truck with 10 lbs of pressur in it in order to fit - I'm thinking I better drop it and toss it in the cargo area to avoid long-term damage.

They also put nitrogen in the tires. I'd say great, but once I drop the pressure and add back O2 it won't really matter much (but nice to know I can get nitrogen nearby if I really want it for my other vehicles).

I'll snap pics when I get it, or tomorrow morning if it is too dark tonight.
