Looks like 32 runs into park hills. You say there is a turn before that that goes into farmington?

Yes Sir. After goin thru Bismark ( watch your speed thru town ) but b4 Park Hills you'll see a sign for St Joe State Park. Turn right there ( Primmvile Rd ), follow this road to end, make right turn, and W will be about 150 yrds. Look to the left and you'll see Mc Donalds. Saves 12-15 miles for 'ya. Just watch your speed thru Bismark, and thru the park section of the hiway ( Ranger has a radar gun ). Just looked at there website, shows a layout of the trails, and there ratings for Washita, Al

After finally resolving some issue with not be able to view this thread for some time, I see we are going to have quite a nice size group.:D

It also seems that we will still have some great fall colors. Should be a great view from up top.

.....

We all go down the same trails. Unless you're toyminator who can basically go anywhere he wants, .

I added additional contour data

Source, Google Earth contour data.

It's 2.5 miles from the knob to the office.

Topographic reference will help me out substantially when on the trail, so I print out a few extra.

Nice data - but does this mean gps coordinates are available somewhere? I'd love to put the gps data in prior to the trip so I actually have some chance of knowing how to get back when I need/want to leave.

Are you able to make it now?

I got 3 buddies camping out there tonight. I guess we're all still meeting at 8:00AM at the Farmington McDonalds.

Thats my plan, got some buddies coming from Ironton, told them the meeting place/time. Al

See you guys in the AM.

No - sadly, I'll be missing the adventure and probably the largest gathering of the year :frown:

I'll be attending a funeral/memorial service at 1pm, so there is no way I can come down for the first 1/2 of the day or join you for the last 1/2 of the day. I'm screwed - but at least it is not my funeral.

It is a bummer though. After all the delay and hard work to get the dang Toyo 315/75/16 tires on the truck (not to mention the $1600) and then I miss the trip.

I may just snap and go down during the week next week (looks like my trial on Tuesday may settle after all, so that may be a winner).

Take lots of pics, and stay away from the rear-quarter-panel-denting-trees.

Just wanted to say THANKS to who ever planned this awhile back. Had fun today, and hope everyone made it home ok. Hopefully some pic's will show up on this thread. Glad to have met everyone, will be able to put some names with faces. Thanks Guys, it was fun. Al

Thanks for all the help and tips today. I learned a great deal and got a chance to break in the new sliders. It was nice to meet Al, Thad, and Steve, along with seeing Joe, Jason, Bill, and Vicki again. Hope to see you all in the early spring.

Steve
