The weekend of September 8-9 is the run in my area. As you all know, we were hit hard by hurricane Irene last August. This has turned some easy trails into some pretty hard wheeling. There are some intermediate trails that have a real hard obstacle or 2 and some advanced trails that are real interesting. We have a lot of pressure from towns and property owners about using these class 4 roads, so groups must be kept small (6-7 rigs is best). We have some campgrounds in the area and I also have a leanto and room for some camping on my property.
Here are some choices;
1) a long trail ride (about 50 miles) covering some moderate trails, good scenery with a few hard obstacles and maybe even lunch at the Long Trail brewery.
2) advanced intermediate
35's
2 lockers
a good winch
probaly some scratches and maybe a dent or two
3) a shorter ride around Newport NH, maybe Sunday
All vehicles need to be registered
What do you guys think?

I wish I could make it Gary.
We will still be on the road at that point.

I think the trip sounds great and I'm hoping to get back in that area for a late fall trip.

I like #1!

If we don't run Rallye Defi that weekend, we would love to join in on #1. Should know by this time next week. Would consider some #2 but only have rear locker on both LCs.

Perhaps a #1.5 may be considered :)

#2 will probaly include Buttpucker Gulch

Not running Rallye Defi so we can join in, pending option(s).

Perhaps option #1 Sat and option #2 Sun?

Looking to run the FZJ80, outfitted with 33" KM2s, 3" lift, rear Aussie locker, winch, and titanium valve stem caps :)

I need to know who is coming so that the trails fit the group. Right now we have 3-4 for #1 and #2.
How about #1 on Saturday And #2 on Friday or Sunday (do people wnat to leave early on Sunday for travel?)

A little clarification about option #2. This involves going over roads that have some pretty bad washes. Some of these washes are 5-6' deep and vee'd out. There are places where you have drop down in to the wash and you get leaning pretty good and your lower- mid part of your body may rub on the bank. I can drive most of these roads with my Red Land Cruiser and they are really fun.

Gary...I am very interested in #1, particularly since I can't make the Fall Gathering this year. I am 98% firm on coming. I don't think I could do #2 on Friday or Sunday, probably just down early Saturday morning to Chester, overnight, back home Sunday.
