wondering if anybody has an extra fairlead they would wanna sell me, i'd like one of the hause (spelling?) style ones and not a roller...if nobody has one ill probably pick one up off e-bay in the next little while.

thanks guys

i dont have either one unfortunatly, otherwise i would just say screw it, put on what i had and just live with it.

Uh, I might trade you, I am trying to decide what to do with my bumper. I am back on the SR bandwagon for when I do my SOA so bumper has to go and the winch needs to be lowered. I will let you know.

you mean me? sure I'll trade you.

I dunno if the sr thing is worth the effort. drive shaft becomes a bit of a pain in the ass...

if you have a good amount of caster it doesn't even make it that much better on the road, only real advantage is not hammering the shackles into the ground, but unless you have the big gay alberta premiums on there, that doesn't really happen all that often anyways..

Ya you!

I don't really want to improve road handling... I would start with some radial tires. I have always run stock shackles up front and I managed to break a pin on one on the bitch a couple years ago and bend and scrape the hell out of both that are on there right now. I need to improve my approach angle which will include the winch fairlead.

As for drive shaft... :hhmm: I have been looking at it and reallize it is an issue. I don't know if I will make a stocker work or find some spline shaft to make my own. There's always square tube... But I don't think I am hack enough to go there.

Sorry for the hi-jack Guy.

I used a mini-truck slip yoke when I was soa and sr many moons ago.

with stock springs it was fine, but maybe not with longer springs.

tg sells a long spline kit , but it's kinda spendy, and being tg, probably a bit gay.

Steering shaft from a cab over semi apparently works if you can find one...

meh, fxxxit, just go square tube, get it chromed it'll slip better...:hillbilly:

(keepin the hi-jack goin....:flipoff2:)

chrome is cool...

I plan on stockish springs up front, flipped for wheel base.

Abel has a line on some that is about $100 per foot... Farm stuff I think. I will look into the cab over stuff though.

I'd be interested in some DS spline in you have a line...
