Fairey OD for a Split case transfer out of a 1982 BJ42 LX,

Will work on any split case transfer, comes complete working unit.

Location is in Tennessee and price is 1200.00 or best offer.

Excellent way to give you rig that extra high gear for the highway and still maintain the low's for the woods.

With a 4 speed transmission will give you a total of 16 gear selections.

Interested....may be a better buy than a set of 37's if it's in great shape.

As if I need a 5th shifter on the floorboard of my Cruiser.....okay yeah, I'm interested!!

Most that thread is about the earlier one piece transfer case overdrive which is a totally different aminal.

The Overdrive for the split case is a big part of the transfer case. Are you selling the whole transfer case with it or just the part are for the overdrive? The main housing is part of overdrive and not sure what all is part of it on the inside of the case.
 
all that is needed with the kit is, the outer housing, the plate which mounts at the pto position, and the shifter arm which in not in the picture (but I do have it). The whole thing is really a simple devise.
Even though the outer housing is larger than factory It does not change the drive train length, so no need for drive shafts to be altered.
If you would like the complete transfer case I will send the whole assy. for 200.00 more.

You don't mention any gears. I'm guessing everything that is fitted on the transmission tail shaft is also part of the overdrive otherwise it wouldn't be a overdrive. Never seen what is all involved with the later one but the early overdrive replaces all the pieces that were on the tail shift.

Anyway here is a bump for you. Good luck with the sale.
