Factory Toyota snorkels avail. in Oz?

Is the factory Toyota snorkel for the 80 series still available (all the parts) in Australia?

I rang Toyota dealer in Townsville this morning 9.35 our time.All exterior parts are available here. If its a petrol motor cruiser they would have to order the internal fittings from Japan if a snorkel has not previously been fitted.Rough price for all external fittings is $500.00 Mike Carney Toyota.07-47594200. cheers

I'm debating having an amigo of mine in Sydney pick up all the parts and ship 'em to me. I'm really liking the factory one over the safari. Thanks for all the info!

Mike I dont think it would work too well on a 40,you would be better off with a ARB or similar aftermarket job which all seem to be a left hand fit.(ideal for a 1HZ)

Then again it would be hard to fault this home made job at the bottom for looks and price

(Note: The beast has since had a full new roof rack supported by 6 pieces of tube down to the chassis)

Mike I forgot to mention that Donaldson's Filtration make a range of products to build your own snorkle from 40mm to 200mm .
They have the elbows, tube,prefilter and clamps.
Havent seen the end results but I will check it out when Im ready.

I think Safari use the Donaldson pre filter on their snorkles

in the month.

I cant remember which is their design ,they have 3 different pre filters.
1HZ is great,I just wish I had more time to drive it.
Do a search on google for their north american site.

Thats true,they drive them off the roro ships already fitted.
