I am looking to buy the FSM for the 96 LX450. HelmInc only lists the 97 LX450. I can also find the 96 Land Cruiser FSM through another website. Who makes the FSM? I want to make sure I get the right one or perhaps the 97 is the same as the 96? Are there any other repair manuals worth buying?

Thanks in advance.

97 is close enough. Helm IS the printer for Toyota. Get the LX450 version since the HVAC and audio are slightly different.

Wow, $80 is cheaper than I was expecting. I might need to buy one too :)

Here is a free pdf. file download of the Repair Manual. I keep a soft copy on my pc and smart phone just in case I would need it, won't hurt to print it out as well and keep it with the truck or around the garage.

Bringing this thread back to live with new questions. If the difference between the LX and the LC is the HVAC and Audio, does that mean the 96 and 97 LX450 manuals should be identical? Were the any changes? I think I found a deal on one. For some reason the 96 is much more expensive than the 96. Also are the Electrical Manuals for a 97 the same as a 96? Or should I get all 96 LX450 Manuals?

pretty sure '97 and '96 LX450 are identical. I'll let someone else chime in to confirm.

There is no difference between the 1996 and 1997 LX 450. The manuals should be the same.

Not quite accurate Douglas.
The 10th digit of the VIN is different......:flipoff2:

I suppose I should have included, "mechanically"...

:flipoff2:
