Factory radio question

Will the factory radio in a 89 4Runner fit and wire up to an 85 without modification?

I think it should, but you may have to swap the center dash parts with it, those did change from 85-89. IE If the 85 has the cubby hole, and the 89 does as well, the 89 you can take the cubby out, but the 85 the center dash is a one piece unit... But the mounts should all be the same.

i think the wiring plugs are different.
