No, it's installed at the port. You can see it listed on the option spec sheet for $699. I went to Toyota's website and they also show it as an option (if you spec it out in the Southeast region).

Very interesting. You are correct, Toyota is now offering these as an option. I'm trying to get a part number but am having no such luck.

These are standard on most LC 200s around here (SC). I had to look for quite a while to find one without them. All LC 200s have a 2 inch or so flat space around the wheel well. These flares simply stick onto that. Anyone can order aftermarket I am sure by optaining a Southeast Toyota VIN and then simply stick them on their ride . . .

my question is, are the as easy to remove as they where on the 100? hopefully no drill holes in to the sheet metal?

Be careful though. I had the bushwackers installed on mine and they would flutter lightly on high speeds and ended up sanding down the paint on the fenders

I bought mine in Atlanta with flares. I sometimes get a fluttering noise at highway speeds. I also hear it in the car wash while the high speed dryer is in use. I wonder if it is my flares? I thought it had to do with my windsheild after SafeLite replaced it.

Nomad, am I seeing a line in your paint where the flares used to be?

Sounds like some eBay misrepresentation, I guess. Thanks for catching it.

I just took off my black flares. I'm in Atlanta. PM me if you want them.
