location: Greenville, SC
price: $4,500
not sure if there will be any interest here but up for sale is my 2002 triumph daytona 955i
I got into bikes to save on gas, i'm not a biker, i dont ride in groups, i don't go on bike runs, pop wheelies or any **** like that. I use it to commute back and fourth to work. At over 40mpg you can imagine how much i save each month.
The good: 7,6xx miles, great condition with minor scratches from common wear tear. Looks super clean especially for an 02 bike
full service was given @7,000 miles and valves were checked. all ok
the bad: needs new rear tire soon (i will install one soon if it doesn ot sell)
leaks a drop or two of oil on long commutes. I need to remove the basket to pull out a bolt and re seal it (was not sealed from factory). I have not had to add oil in it over the past 3 months so i just haven't taken the time to do so since it's not bad.
has heated grips
aftermarket muffler
ecu re mapped to match exhaust (not jerky/lean)
comes with back seat as well as seat cowl
This is a great bike and it's fun to ride on my work commute.
I'm getting married in a month or so. I have an 18 month old and the wife to be has a 9 yr old. Even though the wife to be likes to ride much more than i do we won't have alot of time to ride once we are married.
I will be installing a diesel in my fj60 after tax season and would like another cruiser to drive around while i pull the body off to the install the swap and paint/recoat the frame.
Since i will be running WVO in the fj60 after the swap i don't need a bike to save on fuel. I have alot of friends in the resturant buisness and customers that are resturant owners so waste oil will be easy for me to get.
The wife to be loves suv's but hates her explorer so the vehicle i get will be used to replace her exploder and will also be converted to diesel and WVO in our attempt to make the whole family go green.
i'm looking to trade for something that can be driven, i don't care if it looks good. I'm game for fj40s that need work, fj60's/62's in good condition or anything inbetween...
So long as the frame is not damaged/rusted out I can handle some body work.
if you have something of less value and want to trade lets chat and work something out.
Would also consider trade for a diesel swap.
Since i'm about to pay for a wedding, honeymoon and a swap on my cruiser i don't have the cash to spend on a trade of greater value vehicle + cash on my part. So if you want to help a fellow mud member out with a wedding present thats cool but the lady will not allow me to blow our honeymoon budget...i want to sleep in the bed next to her when we go to jamaica...not on the beach. Although that could be fun...
If you want more pics i will gladly take some, mud members with a valid motorcycle license can take it for a test ride around my neighborhood so long as your cruiser stays in my drive way and if you wreck my bike i keep your cruiser
...i have full coverage insurance on it.
I'm willing to make a road trip to meet someone. I cant ride to canada or cali but we can work something out if seriously interested.
one other trade i would consider... a honda cb 500cc or bigger + some cash. I love CB's even if it would sit in the garage most of the time.
