Extra Carb Kit? Anyone?

Anybody have a spare Carb Kit laying around for a 40/55 series 2F? Trying to get the 55 on the road this weekend and had to pop the top on the carb. Really only need the top gasket.

I could make one from gasket paper but I'm lazy and hoping to get lucky.

Have you tried BAP Imports?

I have taken the tops off of a bunch of carbs and reinstalled with the same gasket, most times with no issues, just be careful with it.

No luck with BAP. Because I'm so impatient I tried my luck with making my own out of gasket paper. Turns out I do I damn passable job. Made my own press die to cut the bolt and circuit holes. No too shabby.

last time I was looking for one, I had to drive to the Napa central in downtown PHX BAP, no possibly on in Tucson, no idea how long transport would take ; Checkers, no 2 days special order; Autozone none in AZ....... and so on....

I now ordered a couple kits from Kurt for spares [Specter wants twice as much ]

Yep, and a leather punch works like a champ also.
