Explore Jemez 3/29 (4 Viewers)

I was told by a friend about a nice camping area off the beaten path up in Jemez and I'm going to head up there and see if I can find it. Dirt roads mostly nothing difficult that I'm aware of. Easy day of cruising around and an afternoon lunch in the woods. Anyone who is interested is welcome to come.

We can meet at IHOP in Bernalillo on HWY 550 at 8am and plan on leaving around 9am. Bring your own lunch and drinks, maybe some chairs too.

Family's and well behaved pets are encouraged to attend as well. It should be pretty up there and kids should have a good time exploring on foot whenever we stop.

I will also mention it at the meeting on Thursday the 26th.

Supposed to be 75 degrees on Sunday up there.
I am not very familiar with the Jemez but I have a map showing where this good camping spot is, we will see. From what I understand just dirt fire road type terrain. This would be a good trip for people who not overly familiar with the road less traveled motto

Sounds like there is some roads closed in the area I wanted to go, so we are just going to wing it and explore some other areas in that general direction. Not sure what areas people want to go check out but we can decide at breakfast.
