experience with eBay 3rd brake light assembly?

The lens of my 3rd brake light is cracked. OEM replacement part lists for $240. Ugh... I see a bunch of aftermarket versions available from China on eBay for around $50. Does anyone have experience with fitment and quality of these knock offs?

I bought one off eBay a few months ago. Actual lighting is decent and on par with the original. Fitment is just okay. I had to splice in the original connector as the new one wasn't making a decent connection. Also the threaded posts werr spaced little narrower than the original. Once installed I was pretty happy with it. It does seem the curvature of the corners doesn't quite match the tail gate. It's good enough for my 2000. If I had a minty newer one I'd probably splurge for the OEM.

My eBay purchase from China fit awful and leaked worse than the 20 year old broken Lexus part.

I'm mad at myself trying to save a few bucks.... Cost me more in the long wrong.

Go with OEM lamp, it will last you another 15+ yrs! =) I carry them too 03-07 for $222 shipped.
