I'll hazard a guess that 90% of the forum is not too far from light. In the lower 48, my back yard is the largest dark spot around (Eastern Oregon, Most of Nevada, Part of SW Idaho, & part of Utah).
Makes it hard for most of USA to experience anything close to true Expedition travel, or for that matter Scouting travel. Although I hope the trip stories start showing up on this thread. Regardless of how remote (or not) our trips are, they are almost always better than where you are sitting right this second. Bob
