So if OP is correct this so far only seems to be a thing where corrosion is common? Meaning those of us lucky (or OCD) enough to live without salt may not need to put this on the PM list just yet?

My 2 cents is that mine wasn't a victim of corrosion causing the failure. Yes, the bracket was rusty, but it doesn't get its ground through the frame. I suspect the component fell within it's expected MTBF. I'd keep this on the watch list.

And teckis is probably on to something with the pumps not wearing correctly possibly increasing current draw..

I’m not taking it off the list just yet. 15k to 200.. maybe I’ll give the rig a birthday present of that and injector cleaning.
