Toyota just announced that the 2014 FJ Cruiser will be the last model year made. I know some (many) abhor the comparison to our own FJ40's or 25's - but I always thought it was cool that they brought the FJ out, as almost a tribute to the FJ40 in my mind. It's a cool ride, even though it doesn't hold a candle to my 1962 FJ40 in terms of real coolness ...ahah. Here's the link:

they missed the boat with the FJ Cruiser.... its nice.... but... the utilitarian truck is still popular... and always will be... this can been seen with the many Heep line trucks selling at high volume...

they could very easily do a 70 series as a base and build a utilitarian 40 style truck .... send all the parts to TLC4x4 and let Jon go at it :)

I agree with both you guys. Maybe in 40 years it will be pretty cool to have an fj cruiser especially since they are going to stop making them. But then again, in 40 years it will even be cooler to have an fj40 or fj25 or fj55 or bj41,44,42,45,,,,,,,,,,,lol.

No need to send one to TLC. By the time there were done only a very few could afford it. Just start production on the model Toyota comissioned a company to make fifty of years ago. Remember the PX10, Marv has one. Even if it was gas powered priced around the same as the FJ Cruiser I would buy one.
