Jason and his FJ62 were my introduction to yankee toys. That was my first real good look at a built 62. That was also the first time I saw a 45lv. I am sure the 62 will be missed ,but the 45lv is way cool!. The 62 sure was fun off road

Did you show the new owner that photo?? Guessing no.

Jackass's :) I did not have that foto on my listing. that was a classic moment though. only a twisted drive shaft and thanks Kina for bringing me another one hand delivered next day. :)
thanks Gary the lv is getting alot of love will be nice to just concentrate on it for awhile. by FG this year I should have it just about done.... maybe... but it will be there

MT-PTK the tent was like 70 bucks from one of the generic auto places. do a search for car tents. and those pop up I think you can get them at Bass Pro and Cabela's and stores like that. I kept mine for use on the lv same concept. I used it a hand full of times and it makes sleeping in the cruiser so much nicer. I had slept in the cruiser many times before that but the extra room and the screened ventalation really make a difference.

Thanks for the information! I'm going to find one for my rig.

my concern would be fillingit with exhaust every time you come back to the tent

i can see how this tent could be cool to use. it would allow ou to unload all your stuff out of the truck to make room for sleeping keep it all safe from the weather.
its crazy how wild some tents are getting. i love the flod out roof top tent in that the matress is very comfortable, and I always get a good night sleep but i would not mine some sort of enclosed room to go between the truck and the trailer

The point is that you have the full length of your truck to sleep in, plus a vestibule like area to store stuff in the dry and stand up in to change. If it was raining heavily (FG 2005 anyone?) sleeping inside the truck sure beats a plain old tent. :)

I guess, but my truck is full of crap that I would have to load and unload every day as it goes out on the trail with me.

Mike has been pushing me to sleep in the trcuk on our trips but it's just more work than it's work to me.

How does it seal tight to keep the rain out of the vestibule in those high wind storms?

one thing to note after having set up my fj62 to sleep init reallyis not as wide as it appears. unless you buid a platform so you can spread hte area over the wheel wells it is really only as wide as a single bed. great if sleeping by yourself not so great with company. thats why I moved to a rtt. in that I never get a good night sleep on the ground I no it can be comfortable but ....

I like my truck tent. Heres the generic picture. Cabela's -- Sportz Truck Tent III - Blue

I had it at FG 2 years ago, worked good. The only problem is that I have to semi dismantle it to go anywhere. But it sure beats a tent and I have a large air matress that fits between the wheel wells.
