Basically I'm in process of gathering parts that'll work for either a "hard core" version of my 60 or for a buggy build.

I guess 39.5" just don't do it for ya. That thing sure fits the hardcore bill once you're standing next to it! V8, SOA, auto, doubler, ram assist, longs, body armor, etc. Well, I definitely think it's a pretty aggresive rig.

Have you ever thought about tranny upgrades? Is your tranny already upgraded?

i am dead set on runnin LPG on my 350 im building (actually dual fuel but mostly propane)I would like to also get it on my 2F as well but i dont know that it will be worth the cost of the extra mixer (being smaller than the 350 carb) what to do what to do....

Thanks for bringing the dual fuel up... That route on Impco mixers always seem to end up with a 5 at the end digit. i.e. 425, 225 and of course a difference in timing. Such as a DualCurve timing setup. You would hook it up to your HEI and adjust your timing curve based on the differences in fuel. You can find those on ebay to. For 4,6,8 cyl engines......

I run an Impco Model E (should run a J) and 200 on my `85 2F.

And a Model E and 425 on my `67 Barracuda with a 318.

At minimum on a 350 you will want a model E and a 425. I have a bunch of PDFs on the parts... if anyone is interested.

But I can't understand why I can post up anything under the size of a poststamp on the forum.....

j

any info is waaaayyyy coool with me... zasuttner@yahoo.com

how about the straight 6? i guess doin it manually bout the only "cheap" way.
the 350 I will be looking at the dual curve timing options.

petersons off road march 08 page 32 had a okish tech on a dual fuel set up. not a whole lot of info but covered the basics.

yeah, running the HP I want to I think upgrading to a th400 or at least giving my th350 some attention is a must (if the motor ends up in the 60)... especially seeing how I will running a doubler too.

The six needs it too. But, I will never go dually. I pay 1.66 a gallon.

$100 does not seem like a great deal for that unit, but I may be mistaken. Personaly I would like to know a bit more info about it.

that is where I bought most of my stuff..

He is a great dude..

Thats a Model E converter, Fuel cut off solenoid, LPG filter (you would want to replace that anyway). And I don't think that mixer is a 400 series. It looks like a 300 series. Which would have left that 425 way under carbed. I will send you the Impco catalog today so you can look.... Also the model E converter was setup with an early model timing curve setup. Ask the dude if he has the wiring harness and the little box (computer) it was hooked up to. And a better picture of the stamp on the mixer.

You can buy rebuild kits for the Model E. and the mixer. Take a look at the price that Nashlift on ebay is selling new Model E converters and all the rest of the parts. Normally I would pick up a Model E alone for $100. But, I am guessing that the auction will run up higher.

I have noticed a lot of parts coming out of the southeast. I am guessing that is because of the jump in propane prices.....

Oh... and don't worry about me bidding against you on Ebay. I already bought all the gear I needed last year x2.

Never heard of the propaneguy.....

Those prices aren't bad. Is it all real Impco with CARB stickers too?

I called DEQ and all they had to say is that I get the sniff test and my rig is registered as running propane. They do not care about what kind of equipment you are running for propane. So I am going to get my junk passed through DEQ. Hopefully they don't fail me on the safety inspection :hillbilly:
