elk hunting

Hello everyone,
I know I've been absent for a while, but I went back to school to get a master's degree, and it occupied all my spare time for the last 1.5 years. Now that I am done, I should be able to attend some more events again, especially the snow run in Dec.

I won't be at the next meeting, I was lucky enough to draw for unit 5b the 22-26, but hope to see you all at the November meeting.

Anyone else going hunting?

I'm sitting in a cabin in northern NM waiting for my hunters to show up. I was out last week on the VC muzz hunt, here's a couple teasers. The vid quality isn't the best, it's from my point and shoot.

I go mid November. Hope it warms just a hair. I'd like a little snow but not enough to be measured in feet.

I did not draw out his year but my brother was lucky enough to draw 4 tags. Antelope, deer, elk and big horn.

That's a heck of a season! Which bighorn tag did he draw? I was in sheep country over the weekend in knee deep snow.

I have one more bull hunt to guide, then I get to chill for a month.. A friend drew Nov Stallion oryx, I get to guide two youth hunters on Stallion in January, and I pulled another offrange oryx tag for Feb.

I have a muzz cow tag for Dec, and I picked up a late season youth only cow tag for my son. Hopefully we can get it done and skip the supermarket meat for a while.

I love the fall!

My moms freezer is ful plus my brother had to buy an additional freezer after harvesting the elk.
