So my 97 lx450 stated to have an issue with starting they ignition will not fire the starter off so I had to put in a push button for the starter so with the key in the run position I can push the stater and the truck fires right up I did replace the starter it didn’t change anything.
Second issue is it’s surging with the A/C on and almost dying.
Third issue is it will randomly stall and then it takes a good 45 sec or so cranking the starter for it to fire back up then it will idle up to 1900 rpm I have to put it in gear for it to drop down.
Any thoughts or input would be appreciated and yes I’ve tried searching.

Neutral safety switch dirty or faulty interrupts the start signal. Cold start up is supposed to idle up vacuum leaks cause it to high idle to much. The idle air control also can be dirty and cause a high idle.

So it did it 3 times today where it died I tried starting and it takes a good 45 sec of cranking before it will fire back up then it smokes for a sec from all the fuel so it’s like it loses spark? The high idle only happens once in the blue moon
