FIX- turned out to be one of the fuses in the drivers side kick panel. 4th one in from the top ( #32).
When I originally looked at this panel I pulled, examined and replaced each fuse. It was at night on the road and raining-so illumination wasnt great and i guess I was anticipating a more complex fix. In any event swapped a new one in and everything lights up! Surprising this small fuse affects quite a few functions. Hopefully this doesnt repeat itself.

Thanks for the HELP EVERYONE!

Not sure where this began but I was having some flickering headlights after rainstorms and situations where they would not turn off after turning off the car. Fast forward and after replacing the sunroof seal all these seemed to be over with. Also made sure the drains were free. Yesterday I was driving and the head unit and radio went out. Everything else was working. Then a few hours later while driving back to the city i lost the dash lights, wipers and windows after turning the car off and getting gas. The shifter was also stuck and had to use the shift lock override. I decided to drop in a new battery as the one i has been in there around 6 years. This did not fix the issue and as Im turning off the Brooklyn Bridge the car suddenly dies. I disconnect battery for a few seconds. reconnect and try starting. The starter sputters and didnt start. I try again and the car starts and was able to pull into my garage. There doesnt seem to be any difference between ACC and ON for ignition

Whats not working
head unit
Dash lights- excet for brake, and code lights
windows
radio
rear vents
Turn signals
side view mirrors

what is working
engine
horn
dome lights
mirror lights
alarm and door locks
head lights
hazard lights
steering column tilt
seat functions and heaters

The door locks will undergo phantom switching while driving.

I have checked fusible link and the fuses and could not identify see any issues there. Ive read through some of the other threads but didnt see anything that might help.. Anyone go through this??

Would the ignition switch cause this?

Likely water entry around windshield.
Has windshield ever been replaced?
Any rust or bubbling paint, around windshield molding?

Something that wasn't mentioned.
Is the battery/alternator fine?

Asking because the 100 seems to act like my FRS when the battery is on its way out and throws all kinds of random/weird electrical problems until the battery is replaced.
Asking about the alternator too since the truck starts. But maybe its not charging the battery.

Has your windshield ever been replaced? Water intrusion around there can be an issue if it wasn't done correctly. Ask me how I know....

I'd check for water intrusion in the driver/passenger footwell caused by a leaky windshield seal or clogged sunroof drains.

I put a new battery in and same issue. Truck will start and headlights work and hazzards. Nothing else.

The windshield was not replaced but I did run some sealant around it as Ive seen that could be an issue.

Everything looked dry from what i saw and felt. It was raining intermittently though. So im a bit stumped.

Alternator seemed to be operating fine when dash lights were working. I guess i can get a multimeter on it.

Do all of those circuits run through a single relay?

check the 40 amp square fuse on the drivers side kickpanel. Same same symptoms when my drivers lumbar support shorted

Thanks diego355. I will have a look at that fuse.

I only saw a small green square fuse on the passenger side fuse panel. It said it was for the VGRS. Is that the one you were referring to?

had same problem after water from blocked drains replaced every fuse on left side box and every thing came back to life overkill i know think it was corrosion of the fuse contacts

I would also verify that you have a good ground. You can connect some jumper cables from negative to an unpainted part of the engine for a quick check to see if things improve.

Thats a good suggestion. My buddy was having intermittent issues on a new car purchase. It would come and go and the dealership obviously struggled to find the problem. They finally had to take back the vehicle after 6 months. Called him a couple weeks later and told him it was a loose ground cable.
