Update. Well, I got tired of trying to track down the problem and did NOT feel like tearing into the harness to check the splice points (I think a corroded or loose splice is the cause of the problem). So I rewired my dome light, map light, door open light, stereo, and clock. I ran a power wire from the battery to the stock fuse panel inside (I had an open spot where the OBD fuse goes in later trucks). I added a fuse and ran the power to everything I have been having issues with. I know it's not the ideal fix, but at least everything works now, is fused, and looks stock. Thanks for all the help, guys. I wish I had been able to find the real cause of the issue but it's not worth my time and frustration.

Spoken like my trusted mechanic. I know of a feller who works for Boeing & runs all the electrical wiring on Air Force I & II. Obviously, with Dubya, $ is no objective. But I'd guess he, Tricky Dick & the SS have no clue on what's wired how.

I have been following this closely as my 92 HJ81 is experiencing the same problem. Hoping for some help on where to look next.
1-ign key cyl light does not light - (it did previously)
2no open door indicator
3glove box light works
4clock has no display, no light and time resets if and when it briefly comes back on
5 radio loses power along with the components listed above
I have +12v on both sides of tail fuse.
I have +12v both sides of the cig fuse.
i have +12v at the glove box.
i have +12v both sides of the dome fuse.
I have been trying to locate both the J3 and J4 connector but am having a tough time.
My RHD is the opposite of most of the illustrations i have available. I do have an EWD but the schematic does not give me connector locations.
The grounds in both kick panels appear good.
Any suggestions would be great.
