Just bought a teardrop trailer, with trailer hooked up remote for power locks will not work & ac continues to run with ignition off, ac stops when I unplug trailer. I tow boats all the time without issue, even boats with trailer brakes. I bought the trailer from an individual that towed with a Cadillac & never had a problem. Is this a LC problem? I called the trailer manufacture but they had never seen this. They did say possible voltage regulator on the truck. Help appreciated.

Yes. I have the same issue with my 2004. But only with my sled trailer. I think it has something to do with the trailer battery back feeding. Sorry, I don't know what the fix is. I just got into the habit of unplugging it when I parked.
You probably need to install a diode on the power wire to stop the backfeed.

I thought the same thing about diode, trailer builder says that's not the problem. thanks for the suggestion.
Easy to troubleshoot...do you have the same issues with the trailer battery disconnected??

I did a search to no avail e9999, don't need or want negativity, supply something positive or don't respond.
