I've been tracking an issue for months and feel like I'm close to the issue. Truck intermittently won't start after driving daily for days, then it sits awhile and starts and runs for days, then leaves me stranded again. I'll spare you all the parts I've replaced but now I'm at the EFI Relay...and here is what I found. Mine is hanging by a zip tie, and of the 5 wires going out of the base, two are cut. One goes to the battery (via a wire that's been spliced and has an empty fuse link in it), one is a ground, and one goes to a bundle of wires. I need to find out where these other two wires are supposed to go. Odd thing is, if they are supposed to go somewhere, then why does it run at all??

Is the silver box bolted to the fender plugged into the wiring harness? That should be the EFI main relay. The relay you've pictured is non-OEM and not connected properly if even connected to anything. FJ62 EFI relays are NLA and the standard relay in your photo will work in place of the OEM relay if wired properly.

My EFI relay is connected, I picked up another at Spector yesterday in case that is the issue. The non-OEM I think is not connected to anything related to the EFI. Might even be part of the car alarm that was installed before me. I also picked up the EFI circuit opening relay that goes in the kick panel under the glove box. Fingers crossed. Thanks for the input.
