I have an Eezi-Awn-Awn K9 rack and found a friend of a friend who was selling his Manta 270. The only problem is he didn't have any of the brackets that should have come with the awning and ones that would have attached to the rack. Both sets of brackets were pretty darn expensive so I tabbed some and test fit this weekend. A few adjustments and I'll have them powder coated. But I had to take some photos of the awning up throwing some shade...(unfortunately the sun wasn't out so you can't tell. :) )

Where are the legs stored?
The legs collapse inside of the support beams. It’s a pretty compact set-up. The only negative is every time I open mine, one of the legs swings open and takes a chunk of paint...through the vinyl.

It’s a love-hate relationship.

Ah. Okay. That makes sense. Maybe use a picnic table cloth clamp to keep that leg in place? Springy and flat . . .

I planned on using hook and loop cord keeper, but from my hasty assessment, the canvas is attached the full length of the support. I’m probably going to continue with hook and loop using some 3M UVB (IIRC) tape.

Are you referring to the telescoping/adjustable support legs (with available tent stakes to secure into ground)? The support legs should not fall out of the main support beams - in fact you can use the awning (freestanding) without the support legs. I have noticed on my support legs that when I pack up the awning, putting the support legs requires a little maneuvering to get the tension clips to reattach to the exterior support beams so they don't fall loose. You have to get the support leg length just right, then the tension clip should hold it into place. Then lock the support leg length adjuster in place.

Yep. That’s what I’m talking about. I have wiggled, jiggled and maneuvered to the best of my ability, verify with a gentle tug until satisfied. It never fails. If it were the same leg every time, I would think it was a faulty locking mechanism, but it’s random.

I always tend to suspect user error, but I’ve been paying very close attention since the first time it happened when I set it up. The hook and loop is to rule out user error, and to prevent my wife from feeling super guilty if it takes paint while she’s setting it up.

Yes, they dont fall out.
