Hello everyone, new member here.
I've had this 1998 100 series for about 5 years now and overall it's been a great vehicle. I have driven this truck up and down the country multiple times, but during our last trip it developed an issue. The engine would require higher rpms's to accelerate for any given speed before switching gears (Sorta felt like a torque converter issue). At the same time it also developed a parasitic battery drain.
I was able to source the parasitic drain to the "ECU B1" fuse in the large fuse compartment under the hood. This ceased the battery drain, and surprisingly fixed the acceleration issue as well. Pulling this fuse knocks out the heated seats, door locks and the key fob.
Does anyone know what needs to be fixed/replaced to cure this ECU B1 fuse problem?
