lol- didnt this sell for $45k originally? owner may have gold plated a shifter or axles to get to $85k into it......lol

unfortunately with all the crap/ weight added - owner probably realized the hard way that this little engine cant push 6000lbs any better than an F engine.

A turbo diesel with an intercooler can't do better than a stock 2F? thrice the mpg, more torque, more HP, bio fuel options.. Quit being a hater

The b3.3t is 85hp / 215 torque - even turned up Scott quoted about 110hp /bit more torque...... 2f is 135hp / same torque.

The quote below is from a mudder who drove the b3.3t /45 on 33s and claimed :

"Nice setup

A big thanks to Scott for taking a couple hours out of his Sunday afternoon to show me his rig.

Scott has pretty much summed up most of the questions here and I agree with everything he has said. Generally speaking, here are the big questions I had.

Power – Compared to my 78 40’, it felt just as fast, possibly quicker, from 0-35 but I think the 2F probably had it from 35-60. It is a bit of an apples to oranges comparison since I have a 4speed tranny and he has an auto, but it was plenty quick and cruised down the highway just fine wihout OD. I think with a manual overdrive, like a H55, the 3.3 would have felt just as quick as a 2F."

add cage/ tons of weight and 37s.........and theres no way that this is enough engine for the weighted 45 on 37s.
This is the same problem people are having with the Mercedes swaps. Both are fine engines for stockers on 31s-33s. But add a bunch off offroad armor/ bumper/ cage weight and couple it with 37s....

and theres a reason they are for sale ........just sayin.

A 12H-T however..

Healthy hot rodded small block chevy works pretty darn good!!

500+cu.. in.........30s era rod. Sounds like you are sellin.......im buyin! shoot pics and price

A 12H-T however..

12ht is in similar boat to 3.3........ not exactly a torque monster. Perfect for up to 33s and near stock weighted 45/60.......but add too much weight and no bueno. For a lighter 40 probably ideal

This was built by Scott Onken/ thanks!. Although weight was added for the mods, attention was given to remove weight elsewhere, as to not increase the overall GVW. The 37" MTR's were compensated by a transfer case gearing reduction. Top vehicle speed thus wasn't compromised.
As far as the HP- with the upgrades it should exceed 135HP. The new intake made a significant difference, as did some tuning by a custom shop in Carson City. Scott was nice enough to take time out of his day and continue to help out with this.
Although I understand everyone is entitled to an opinion, it's interesting that some trollers on IH8MUD target their own. It's like peeing in your own pool. All vehicles go up for sale for one reason or another. This is an incredible rig with tons of attention to detail. Thank you for your kindness..

Good question- thank you for asking.. there are a few..

I have 2 kids that always want to go into the woods with me and they both won't fit, plus we've gotten into dirt biking..
I'd like my carport back for my other toys, KTM's, trailers, etc. - we live in Tahoe and very little storage space- heavy snow..
My wife hates it as it scares her, although my friend thinks its a great scenario- kinda like not having intercom on your bikes

what kind of offers did you garner on craigslist? and where did the bidding go on ebay?

easy fixes for most of the reasons for selling you listed:

1- return it to bench seating and simply lose the buckets/ console. two boys can ride with u.

2- space/ garage- buy cover and park it in yard outside for winter.

3- wife : tell her you want to buy a car of her choice " for her" with that money when it sells for sub $40k ( this will "somewhat" offset the $30-40k loss you will have to explain to her and possibly make your years in the doghouse a bit more bearable)

the moral to all this is: buy a bench seat and car cover and a car for your wife and keep the 45 and your wife from sleeping with the neighbor with a Jeep Rubicon down the street.

Ha! that's funny.. Some good points too for me to think about too.
CraigsList was an utter disaster. I think it works well for smaller priced items. I found it to be full of a lot of fraud (I'm not in town as im on an oil rig and can send you money, etc.), as well as lots of flags removing the vehicle with no explanation as to why. It was never listed on EBay..
