This already sold, so I'm sorry if I'm violating some rule with this. I just figured it might help in people's research. This thing was a steal for $9,105!

This FJ60 sold last night for dirt cheap (for what it is). Here's the description:

This is a 1987 FJ60 with all the trimmings. Power plant is a remanufactured Chevy fuel injected 5.7 Vortec motor with less than 5,000 miles on it. The motor was bought for a 99 Suburban that was rear ended after only putting 3,000 miles on the motor then plucked for this magnificent FJ60. This swap was done with a Mark's adapter kit & Painless wiring harness, along with a new triple bar timing chain installed, a new water pump, a/c compressor & new upgraded fuel injectors. The transmission is the Toyota H55, 5 speed so you can easily do 70 mph on the highway & get good mpg's. Cable locking differentials along with the full floating front & rear axles makes this thing an amazing on & off road vehicle. The FJ body has right around 180,000 miles on it & has a few little dings & scratches here & there with only one decent size dent which is shown in the pictures but is mostly hidden behind the rear bumper. NO RUST!!! Everything feels nice & tight, for a truck of this age & it drives like a dream.

The upholstery is amazing & is updated as of a year or so ago, along with a lock box center console & custom rubber diamond plate floor mat's front & rear. The dual batteries are great for the stereo that runs an amp & six speakers & is capable of connecting with Blue Tooth or a USB cord, so you can connect your Ipod or Iphone. You wont have to ever worry about getting stuck either because of the Smitty Built 12,000 lb winch & multiple D-rings to pull off of.

This truck is a outfitted with front & rear ARB bumpers & a FULL ARB roof rack that you could probably carry another small car on!! Big KC off road lights in the front along with some small PIAA off road lights in the rear bumper ensure you will always be able to see where you are going.

All in all this truck is truly amazing with over $35K invested, it will absolutely be a steal for the next owner.

A lot of people were watching that, including me. However not a lot of people bid on it, including me. Ebay is a real crap shoot and when you have a seller with little to no feedback and a listing where allegedly no question was asked or answered about vehicle condition it all starts to have an iffy feel to it. I for one dont have 10k to gamble with on ebay.
However if it turns out to be for real, somebody got a helluva deal (assuming the vortec was done right) and kudos to them. Hope it turns out to be a mudder

I am pretty sure there was a huge tread here about that rig a while ago. I'll have to find it an link it

could have been a deal or not.

When I see a For Sale sign stenciled(or stuck on) on the window in that manner....it tells me its been for sale for quite sometime, good chance lots of people looked at it and passed for some reason.

or.....it just got missed and was a deal....

With the price of these 60/62 going up and up, I am just wondering if it is to risky to take it off road where it could be damaged? I know what you are thinking, that is what these trucks are designed for. But what if you did not take it off road and just road it on the street and in another 10-15 years could be worth 30-50k? that would be amazing!

Why don't you just buy a Jeep?

it lost the blue wheels and found a V8 along the way......

oh snap!........is that the same one that some nut job claimed was special ordered from Toyota? he had a daughter that drove it and freaked out when someone said "nice Cruiser" his story was all over the board

it goes back before that......to a guy with a different name and yet a crazier story, I busted the guy for yet another old line of BS he was spewing.
