That's a nice truck but a lot of $$$. I paid $6500 for my Aussie pig three years ago- and it ran great with a very solid rust free body and clean interior. $20K is a lot of money for a 55 these days. The amby doors are cool, unique to be sure, but a tailaget is a great place to sit while eating luch on the trail! Gary S
Amby Doors!
Mike, you bought your Pig new at the dealer?!? That would have been a trip...

Yep, it had been sitting there awhile. IIRC, it was Feb 1977. Went to one dealer, who referred my to IIRC Tom Wood Toyota in Indianapolis. Yep, they still had it, buried in the back of the lot. I looked her over and fell in love, even though she was a Pig.
Rubber mats. No radio. Had A/C. New Car Smell. Missing the front hub caps with the lockout cutouts (sorry, sold as is). Put some money down and a few days later we hooked up at the local dealer. Cost? $6200. [I'll note here that we paid $7200 for our FZJ 80 in 2009, which has proven to be an even better deal.)
Man it was a ride like no one else had around here, more or less. There were a few FJ40s, as anyone with class that wanted to go jeepin' would do it in a LandCruiser.
