Update:
All the machined parts are in. Supplier messed up on the front support parts and installed the wrong key locking inserts (Thick walled M5 inserts were installed, M6 inserts were called out) . They are remaking them and should be done by the end of the week.

I'm a little surprised they didn't want them back to just fix the issue. I estimated about 40 hours of my time to fix all the inserts, so must be cheaper for them to remake the parts and install the correct inserts....

The ones with the wrong inserts can be fixed, by drilling out the inserts and installing the correct ones. If you want a $300 discount, I'll ship you the parts with the wrong inserts. You will have to drill them out and install the correct ones, which I'll supply. There will be 18 of them that need to be fixed. Otherwise the parts will probably end up in the recycling bin.

Front skid, power steering protector and transfer skid should be finished and shipped to me at the end of the week.

Other skids are 1 to 2 weeks out.

Also, what the skids were designed for, high speed impacts in the desert.

Could one just run m5 hardware with a washer?

The skids have holes for M6 countersunk screws. Washers will deform in the holes, but will be fine to hold the front skid on. I don't recommend doing that though.

If that's what someone wants to do, they can. I don't recommend it though.

I figured $300 off, might be worth it for the work involved. Maybe more worth it if they choose to use smaller screws

It will take about 2-3 hours to drill them out and install the correct inserts.

I'll include the inserts and the correct hardware, I won't supply smaller hardware though.

@turbo8 my cruiser is currently up at Torfab in the Seattle area for a suspension install, and the shop manager just pinged me with "these skid plates are bad ass". Seems like everyone is impressed with these.

I've been meaning to put it on for a while now, I made sure that I remembered this time haha. The side exit oil pan shoots the oil out like a rocket right at the backside of the wheel without it. Regardless of how I tried to curb the mess it was still a PITA to deal with that, this valve should make for a much cleaner process.

My only gripe is that it makes oil drain super slow. Like up to 30 minutes unless you get the oil nice and warm.

I always change the oil with a hot/warm engine, it helps to get it moving better. But even if it does slow it down I couldn't care less, I'll take less mess over a quicker oil change. I take my time with that stuff anyways, I usually let both the pan and the filter housing drain for 15+ minutes as it is now, less mess.

I don't know if I mentioned it, but I have the Fumoto F-103 on mine, it is pretty tiny.
The drain valves are really nice. No mess and no stripped oil pans.

Update:

Got the new front skid, power steering guard and t-case skid.

Everything went together as expected.

The skids have a slight brushed finish to them which is kind of a bummer.

I spent a little bit of time wet sanding them and got them pretty close to the originals.

You can see the difference compared to the oil filter access panel in the second picture.

In the third picture: original top, new bottom. Kind of hard to capture on camera.

I believe the full sets will all be the same slight brushed finish so everything will match
for the new sets, as they are coming from the same shop.

Does the oil pan and the Jewett performance oil filter cartridge Have the same thread? My Fumoto oil pan valve broke and I want to replace both Fumoto drain valves with the ValvoMax.
