Had a great time doing the Dusy Ershim this past weekend. It is by far the best trails that I've done. We had five 80's and one 40 that went through the trail. Camping and fishing was awesome at Ershim lake. We all made it out with minimal damages. Thanks to Brett, TJ, Rufino, Mike, and Noah for making this run. The pictures posted are taken by Rufino so if you guys have more pictures please feel free to post.

Awesome! Glad to hear you made it through with minimal damage. It's a great trail!

Thanks for sharing. How did the facilities look?

Nice

Looks like fun, maybe this will have to be the new goal trail to hit, since the rubicon is going through changes, What damage you guys have?

A great trip and a great trail. Fishing in Ershim lake and chilling there for a day really made the trip special. It was great whealing with Noah, Nick, Rufino, TJ, and Mike.

We got used to this position. This trail has rocks on one wheel while there is a tree on the opisite side. All day long...

Dang I wish my rig would've been ready for this trip! I have something to look forward to next season. Can't wait!

Thanks for the pics!

Missed a great trip. Thanks for sharing! Glad you guys made it back w/ min damage.

It was an awesome trip. I have videos and pics that I have yet to go through. I'll have them up by the end of the week.

I would compare this trail to running a marathon. There are only a few gnarly obstacles (Thompson hill, the section leaving Ershim Lake and the rock garden at the very end) but the whole thing is consistent. It's bumpy and tight through the trees and it seems like every hard obstacle is at the end or beginning of your daily run. We did the trail in 3 sections; 13 miles the first day to Thompson hill, 11 miles to Ershim Lake and 9 miles to the end. Every day was a 8-12 hour day wheeling. I highly suggest spending a relaxing day at the lake, its beautiful!
I hope to make this an annual trip. I would really like to run this in reverse and tackle the rock garden at the beginning and during daylight hours, its pretty wicked, Derrick you would love it!

Gatekeeper

You go Southbound and you also go up Boulder Alley and Little Thompson. Little Thompson is the gnarly hill you went down a little ways past Chicken Rock. The one where you crossed a small creek, then had a tight left turn you probably had to back up for. Boulder Alley was on your last day right after the big flat open area with panoramic views(Parking Lot in the Sky). It's a different trail in the other direction and good to mix it up,Gatekeeper is tougher Southbound though.

The facilities was nice, thanks to all that went up there and kept it clean.

The damages was a few scratches here and there mostly from trees. Blown out tire, tire coming out of the bead, and broken mount on both front and rear sway bar. Other than that we did an outstanding job spotting each other through some tough obsticals.

Was anyone running 35" tires in the group? Most of you have 37" to 39" eh? When I talked to TJ about the trip he recommended that I remove the RTT for this one. Looks like a good call.
