Durabaked But Will It Stay?

Oh and Boston I just followed the two tone line I already had but I may need to go an inch higher like you described to re-seal the edges with the left over Durabak.

Cool!

My .02 is that that would look much cleaner. Remember to scuff the durabak if you are applying more to it

Well, done fixing the bad areas. I re-taped all of the door jams and decided to take the Durabak in further so it didn't end right on the edge where feet would drag. I hope this will allow it to hold-up longer. I also re-taped the tailgate up a cm and took a little wire brush from my dremel kit and it scraped away about 1/8" of durabak and scuffed up the paint.
We shall see how it all looks tomrrow after an afternoon and entire night of drying. I should get pics up tomorrow.

Good luck. I hope your fix holds well. It seems to me that if it has good "texture" to adhere to it holds well and it sounds like you have it covered.

That looks awesome, you can't even see the seam.

Check the thread. You've got two "left" images.

Nice - can't even see the seams in the pics.
