Never mind, I know the reply would be "read the FSM" so instead I'll ask for the best source for a FSM and how many books it would be for a 62. Thanks.

Just get the 1989 or 1990 FSM (even if you have an 88), as they're longer and more comprehensive. I have an 88 but upgraded my FSM to the 89. Covers pretty much everything you'll need unless you needed to rebuild a transmission or something.

Order from CruiserDan (check the vendors section) for a new copy or check ebay. Sometimes there are some rock bottom deals there.

but really what was your question?

Since my 62 is new to me I know I need to do some maintenance just to know where I stand. My question was going to be something about fluid changes, bearing greasing, etc.

Before hitting the send button it registered that I knew from other posts that the answer would have been "read your FSM!"
