5PM sharp for the vendors. Some of the "vendor" booths are just guys that have a bunch of new and old stuff for sale and want to be inside with a table and all the walk-in traffic.

The Saturday tailgate area opens at 7AM.

From the web site:
Vendor setup begins at 12:00 Noon on Friday, August 17, and ends at 5:00pm when the doors open to the public. The indoor vending area will open again to the public at 8:00am on Saturday.

Outdoor Tailgating Information:
Tailgating will be held in the parking lot to the rear of the conference center on Saturday only, and is FREE. No commercial buyers or vendors are allowed in the tailgate area. Like indoor tables, outdoor tailgating slots should be reserved.

because they don't venture out alone, and because they only go out 3 or 4 times a year and it would be hard to justify having 2 types of radios for that limited use.

Hey, I would have loaned you the whole $14 i spent on the test. I have no HAM equipment, and don't forsee any in the near future. Hopefully, i'll get something within the next 10 years before it expires. Just wanted to take advantage of the opportunity, since the testing seems to be somewhat limited.

I'm thinking HDC should reimburse the money for the license, if the test is passed. Let's discuss it at the next meeting. Landcruisers really complement the whole ham idea anyway.

Once you pass it, you can get your equipment whenever you can afford it.

Good idea Steve....maybe I'll take the test now!
