A buddy of mine put a second battery tray on the passenger side of his 97 LX450. It is a factory tray that I believe is for the diesel. In looking at my 94, I have a "thing" that hangs off the front of my air cleaner and connects to the air injection system for the emissions. This will not allow the installation of the tray. The later model LX has a different system that eliminated the earlier set up. Has anyone done the factory tray in a 94? If so how did you modify the emissions system to allow the factory tray to fit?

I'm getting ready to add the second tray to my '94. The tray is from the '91-92 FJ80s as the battery was on that side during those years. When I ordered the tray from Cruiserdan I asked him about that piece hanging off the side of the air cleaner assembly. He said that it is merely a silencer and will cause no ill-effects when removed. He said you just have to route the hose that comes into the bottom of the box to the top of the cleaner where the box connects(I think that will make sense when you're looking at it). HTH

Check Christo's site. He's got a whole kit and install instructions I believe.

I think Christo's kit is for moving the washer bottle -- which you will need to do as well. I don't think the kit has the battery tray.

Sweet. Who needs a silencer anyway.
