So after getting my LC back from CBT I was finally able to see if my front drive shaft was in or out of phase, it was out of phase and has been making some lovely noise after adding the 850J and shocks.

I plan on replacing the u-joints in the front and rear, then properly phasing my drive shaft too.

Now onto the reason behind the post, for any that needs to phase their driveshaft correctly and rebalance it call Arizona Drive Shaft in Mesa near the corner of S Mesa Drive and E Broadway. They quoted me $75 to rebalance my driveshaft and 24-hour turnaround. Honestly doesn't sound like a bad deal to me as far as $$$ and turn around time.

I am going to pull my front driveshaft next week and replace the u-joint and take it to them and have them balance it for me. Is there any possible damage that could take place with driving without the front DS for a couple of days?

Marking it for removal, is it okay to just mark the transfer case as the front joke is going to be in a different place or should jack up the front and rotate the wheels so the front mark lines up with the drive shaft?

I'm dropping off my FJ40 front driveshaft there for rebuilding on the way back from the President's day run.

As long as you have the center diff locked you should be ok short term. I wouldn’t get too crazy.

Which will be easy to do since I have the CDL switch and I can lock it in 4H.

The only way I got rid of my front driveling grrr was to put in a dc shaft

I have brand new Toyota u-joint. Please let me know if you are interested.

How much? I ask because I can get the Moog serviceable ones for $20 ea.

I have thought about doing the DC shaft but right now I need to do something. A lot of the major issues will be addressed after we get the settlement from our accident 10 months ago.
