Did a quick search to no avail (feel free to direct me).

Am considering the drivers side and front passenger side air deflectors (weathertech, etc.).

Copilot (wife) and I are getting ready for epic sowest Colorado 10 day highway/offroad road trip. Thinking these may help with wind noise w. window cracked/down. Bonus might be keeping rain out while window cracked.

Any one here have first hand knowledge of the benefits/disadvantage? how about in other vehicles?

I have them on all four doors, they're nice. I bought the truck with them, and probably would not have added them, but I'll admit that given they are on it I am pretty happy. If you ever sleep in your truck on a trip it's nice to be able to crack the window with no fear of overnight rain coming in. I suppose you could figure something out with for mosquitos, screen or something for the gap.

I have the oem Toyota ones from Japan. A week later i stumbled across the company who makes them and just about threw up once i realized I'd paid 6x as much to have "Toyota"written on two of them.

Exactly the same as the Toyota ones. 1/6 the price.

And even at the price i paid, they're worth every penny.

I picked up a set on amazon about a month ago that were marked damaged and priced at about $7-$8 for the entire set. They take returns on damaged products so I figured I had nothing to lose. Sure enough the passenger front window shade has about a dime size hole and a small crack about a half inch long. The other three were perfect. I leave my windows cracked 24/7 during Houston summer, which is March through November... since the front right one does have that small hole, I just leave the three others cracked and that one closed. I never see it and don’t care at all since I saved so much money. Love those shades.

The brand I got is auto ventshade part number 94221 on amazon.

I have Weathertechs on mine. Fit great, look good and are absolutely awesome when driving in rain/snow with the window cracked. My wife's 4Runner doesn't have them and every time I borrow it when its rainy or even just alot of dew, I think how much better it is having window visors...as water drips onto my arm.

DO the weathertech fronts go all the way down to the door or do they stop half way? I have found the ones who don't go all the way still let water in as you cant really get the window down in my truck

A must have as far as I'm concerned.
X2 on wellvisors.net.

These are really nice!!!

do you have a picture?

i like the bulky look and that they seem to install from the outside, which is why i went with the amazon ones instead of weathertec which have some bad reviews related to it affecting the auto up/down window feature.

here are mine from amazon:

I heard the same as Fantasma as far as the in-channel deflectors affecting the windows. I don’t have any direct experience with that because I specifically avoided them for that reason. I had the stick on ones on my F350 for years and they still looked like new when I sold it.

I have the weathertechs on my LS430 and the wind noise on the highway is increased very noticeably with the deflectors on. Anyone notice the same on the 100's? Something to consider before spending the $$ on them.

I think the one's that go in the channel will have less noise. I ran both styles on my old pickup, and the in channel we significantly quieter, and also allowed you to roll the window down further before it started letting rain in. I would go for the In-Channel visors.

Yup I had the in channel ones from weathertech that just pop in. Amplified the wind noise 2-3 fold on my LS. $99 that went to total waste. Its very possible that folks dont notice this on the LC/LX due to speeds traveled. Try taking the rig up to 60-70 mph with and without to compare the noise levels.

Sure thing,

These mount on the outside and i haven't noticed any wind noise in my Ls or cruiser.

I wish I saw those before I bought the Wells. While the Wells serve their purpose for the price, I found that the bulkiness was affecting my visibility. It takes a little getting used to, but I do like how they act as visors. Guess I’m more about just being able to crack windows when it’s raining than the sun visor feature. I may cave in and go for the Tuningpros.

If they weren’t so cheap, I probably would. Lol

For the price, I may go ahead and pull the trigger on the Amazon ones.
