sorry to re-post this here but i think that you fj25 guys no more about the 135F

on that note i will add a little fj25 tech The sticker on that valve cover says 115F whats that about?

So I am think about adding power steering to the old 40, and am look at pump mount and what options are out there for the 135f motor and I seem that there are none that will work with out some sort of modification. So I think that I will just build my own on the passenger side of the head, I just saw this in a thread and I would allow me to keep the stock oil bath air filter and the Alternator in there respective positions.

But now to my question; how hard would it be to drill and tap the head so I would have a place to bolt my mount on to the head? I have my old head that I could practice on to try and avoid the water passages but I was thinking even if I hit one I can just put some thread sealer on the bolts right?

I thought the PS pump mounted to the block on later models, I was kinda thinking the same for a 78 block I have to put stock PS on it.

I'm guessing that this was a Jap spec 40 and imported after it was initially sold? That would explain the japenese on the F sticker. Are all of the dash plates in Japanese? Thanks for the pic :D

Ian, I've seen that sticker before. On firetruck motors!

That was a domestic market engine pulled in Japan and shipped overseas to US in the early 90s. I bought a few of them, but have long since lost track of where most of the stuff ended up. For all I know, I could have sold that engine to your rig's P.O.

I never made the connection before.

i dont think so but who knows the trucks from nor cal and was on a ranch since 1975 to 2003
