I came across this option on Facebook and thought it was an interesting idea. I have ZERO AFFILIATION to this product. My intent on posting is to bring out the idea of putting drawers on top of the third row.

Nice looking drawers!
There's lots of posts regarding this, some on top of the third row, some with the third row remove.
Personally, I prefer keeping the third row for whom ever the future owner may be even though I never use them (maybe twice in seven years?), so I'd build my drawers on top of.

I personally would not put drawers on top of the third row because you lose too much space keeping them in. It's such a hassle taking out the drawers I doubt anyone is going to want to convert back and forth very often so in the rare chance that you do need them, the extra 10 minutes to put the third row back in probably isn't much of a deterrent.

I took mine out, but I still have them stored in the garage for whoever the future owner will be. However my GX is so modified that I doubt whoever buys it would even care about a third row.

Drawers suck, especially in anything one daily drives. They take up room, eventually they start creaking and/or rattling, and theres just no benefit to them that wouldn't be taken care of by having a couple of good gear crates you can take in and out and strap in and out whenever they're needed.

Probably an unconventional solution, but I started using boat bags for stowing gear in my trucks years ago. They're rugged, can be bought in all sorts of sizes, and most importantly (to me anyway) the dense rubberized material they're made from does a great job of absorbing all those irritating gear noises it never seemed I could get away from before. Not as convenient in an absolute sense as a drawer, but I bet I can get it close by using multiple bags. Plus you can take the bag with you.

This looks like a good option for someone like me who uses the third row pretty often for kids. Looks like they can be removed in under 5 mins. Pretty sweet deal.

Drawers are awesome, ONLY IF you have the luxury of leaving them in permanently and don't need the cargo space to haul larger items. Try working in a kitchen or organizing a closet without using drawers to see how horribly inefficient it is to use boxes and bags stacked up on each other. I suffered for years thinking I didn't need a drawer system and I'll just use my action packers or duffel bags to organize gear. I wasted so much time packing and unpacking stuff just to get to something underneath, once I put a drawer in the back I'll never go back to using boxes.

However, if you use the third row seat regularly, I wouldn't get a drawer system, no matter how quick it is to remove. That would get old really quick.

A good alternative to drawers are the MOLLE rear quarter panels and rear shelf. You can strap a ton of gear to those panels and the shelf works great too!
Love mine! The panels and shelf are ridiculously sturdy.
Since the Army has moved over to the OCP pattern (similiar to multicam) for our uniforms, I have a bunch of the old ACU (digital) pattern gear left over that I can't use for missions any longer, which works great on the MOLLE panels for gear. If you go with these panels, the old ACU accessories are pretty cheap on eBay, Army surplus stores, etc. They come in many sizes are are great for IFU's, holding jumper cables, tools, paracord, shackles, recovery gear, etc.
Front of the shelf for the fire extinguisher.
