I took my "new" to me 2013 LC out for an afternoon of dove hunting with son in South Texas. My previous vehicle was a Sequoia, so I am used to having a lot of cargo space. I was loading the LC, felt like I had plenty of roonm, everthing fit... I was happy. Well, very soon after we were getting set up, I realized that packing and using are two different thought processes (rookie mistake.) The older I get the more I want to be better organized, this was a great hunt, but a train wreck in the back of the truck. So, on the way home I decided that I need to install some drawers. The forum was very helpful and I came to the conclusion that a set of Dobinsons drawers would fit the bill, I like the price/feature. I then was reading that someone was talking about having to cut into the plastic around the wheel well and trying not to remove insullation. So, I am back to looking at alternatives, or confirm that on a 2013 LC that I would not have to trim into the vehicle to fit the dobinson drawer set up. Open to ideas... Can't speak on the Dobinson setup, but the ARB Drawers fit between the wheel wells (rub a little) and require no insulation trimming. Taking them in and out is roughly a 1 hour ordeal give or take once you get it down.

Trekbox is the top shelf solution.

KISS drawers (Diy, documented here on mud) are a good cheaper solution.

I've had very good luck with the Frontrunner drawers (Link to Frontrunner: Drawers for LC200):

Installation was very straightforward with no cutting or trimming required to securely install.

Soon after installation I added a Dobinson's fridge/cooler slide:

What I particularly like about these drawers is they are taller than other drawers. Tall enough so I can access the cooler without dropping the tailgate:

They also leave some space between the second row seats and the drawers for storage of other "stuff:"

Lots of good drawer systems out there - good luck with your search.

I don't remember having to do any cutting. Maybe a 1/2 inch carpet/insulation trim around a bolt hole or something, but not any plastic and certainly not anything significant.

I have the original KISS and am in SA. Would be happy to meet up for you to take a look, if you’d like.

No trimming should be needed. Not unless you want to keep the carpet in place under the drawers for additional sound deadening, then you'll need to trim around where the bolts go through just so it doesn't caught up when tightening them up.

Full instructions are here: https://exitoffroad.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/11/200-Series-Drawer-Install.pdf

These just came back in stock this past week. Dobinsons 200 Series Drawers for Toyota Land Cruiser (2008-2017)

Height is a good point. I love my ARB drawers, but I do wish they were a bit taller. On the other hand...if you want to sleep on them....taller means sleeping even closer to the ceiling.

On the third hand... sleeping is only occasional... where drawer use is constant. Pros and cons to everything, I guess.

Lay out, on the floor, every thing you want to put into a drawer. Look at how the items stack or do not stack. Take some rough measurements. Don't forget it is going to be a very long drawer. Take some pictures. If your looking at pre fabbed drawer systems make sure they work for your needs. I looked at most of them and opted to build my own. It is one massive drawer that has trays that I can move and stack as needed. Also LED lights for the evening. It's a square box that fits between the wheel wells. The sides are packed with soft items that crush around the wells. I just found its a waste of space to add more plywood. This goes back to the one drawer. If it was split into two bays I would have lost 3" of space and added about 20 lbs or more. <drawer slides are heavy> But this is just me. For what they charge for drawer systems you could most likely just hire a local cabinet maker to make you a custom box for the same price or cheaper. Same quality or better.
