Thanks mate, the snorkel & intake tubes I did make myself but the filter housing was by a guy who has a metal spinning bussiness. It was a prototype model, he has since revised it a bit more, it works great.

Well I dropped the transmission out today to take away tomorrow to have all it's internals put into another box. Hope it all gets done in one day 'cause it's a 6 hour round trip.

She's definately seen better days. I'd say the skinny pedal was involved !!:beer:

WOW!

How do you twist the output shaft? I have never seen that before.

Definate talking piece. It's getting a special place in the shed thats for sure :D.
didn't think the old girl had it in her.

Well I'm rebuilding my transfer case at the moment & have found that the low range output gear has 43 teeth. Now I work in a spare parts business & all of our contacts including aftermarket companies have no record of this gear. Even our local Toyota dealer says it wasn't a standard part. It doesn't need replacing but I would like to know If anybody on here has any info about this ratio. The transfer case is out of a '82 -'85 model cruiser.

Wayne, did you work out where the battery is going to be relocated to?

I have never seen a Toyota Land Cruiser T-case like the one in Post #22.

Does it have a casting # or ID plate on it?

The transfer case is out of an HJ60 but the section in front of it is actually the adaptor. It's made by a mob here in OZ called marks adaptors. You can see the adaptor in the background of this pic.

Here is some pics of my soft top that a few guys have asked to see.
This shot shows where I cut the B-pillar off the canopy ( I still have to finish it off)

Now for the bows I used 1" tubing & bent it accordingly.
This shot show where I mounted it to the tops of the B-pillars

A couple of pics of how I fixed the other two bows,
first one is just mounted to the body using one of the canopy bolt holes.

This is how I mounted the rear bow I got this bracket from the local boat chanderly

I put bars between each bow to give it strength & it also holds tension on the top so it doesn't have any sag.

Inside I got the upholsterer to put small padded sections where ever there was a clamp so it didn't wear through.

I also had him put a full wrap on the two front bars so it didn't flap in the wind while driving down the road.

Also had him put a small tab just as the second bow rolled down the side for when the side windows are rolled up.
