Background = I bought a lx470 a few months ago and when i checked my NPs they were way higher then spec but the AHC was surprisingly still working pretty well. After assessing my needs i determined that air bags were the most flexible solution for me to get my rears back in spec. Tuesday night around 11pm i finished buttoning up the air bags and put 10 pounds in them (minimum is 5) and arbitrarily cranked the Tbars 3 turns but didnt actually check my NPs since it was getting late.

I took the truck to work yesterday and it road like a well mannered cloud, it was great.

I came home yesterday and checked my NPs and my front was dead on 6.9 so i was pretty happy with the luck on that one. The rears were a little low at 5.1. I continued to bleed a little air from the bags until i was right on 5.6 on the rear. I drove to my mechanic to drop it off and i actually preferred how if road when the rear NPs were lower then spec.

So is there any downsides to airing the bags up and bringing my NPs down to the 5.1 or 5.2?

Interesting question!

I'm just learning the AHC system so IDK. But I'll bet "NO problem" at 5.1 provided you like the ride. It's my understanding to high N pressure and life of globes are reduced, as it works them harder. We need expert opinion here from...... @PADDO
