I have an 05 GX with the air injection pump for emissions. This system has been bypassed via a module. My question is, can I install the 03-04 DT headers on my 05 now that I am not using the emissions system? 03-04 headers do not have the air injection rail like the 05 and up. Thank you.

The 05+ have that rail. No idea if the 03-04 will fit, but if you bypass..maybe? Did you email DT?

Yes I did. No response yet. I’m thinking the pre 05 headers will install easier and I would think they bolt up the same but was just checking to see if anyone has done that. Also, pre 05 is less expensive and in stock, as the 05+ is not.

The price difference isnt astronomical. I also have an 05 and would like to know.

I'm fairly certain the gasket pattern is different to accommodate that rail. I have an 03 with long tubes. I haven't heard of anyone doing that, but that doesn't mean it can't be done! The bolt pattern for the with rail and no rail looks the same, so interesting...

@Vlad is correct. I thought the tube attached to the header tubes but instead they have their own port in the manifold flange. This would require blocking them off by welding material to the 03 flange or something else. I would pay the extra $150 for proper fitment, it would save a ton of time.
