I'm planning to re-seal all 4 front doors and the windows in them. (1) Is there a list of all the parts necessary? (2) Does anyone know a reliable source?

I did a search on the Internets in 5 seconds by typing into a Search engine: Toyota Land Cruiser (year) weatherstripping

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

OK, here's more help

The rubber that seals the windows is called a Glass Run

Sources for parts and part numbers:

Local Toyota dealers

Distant Toyota dealers

Toyota dealers with online stores (Ourisman, Olathe, and more)

Toyota Parts Deal dot com is one source to help find part numbers but they aren't a Toyota dealer

Mud Vendors (see link at top of page)

Overseas:
Partsouq (UAE)
Amayama (Japan)

Avoid Fleabay and Amazon sources

To find part numbers you can go to about any Toyota Parts online store and search using the model and year.

Or, go to Partsouq dot com and type in your VIN, then start searching the diagrams of the various systems.

Or, use the SEARCH function (top right any page in the 80 Mud forum) and type in words in this case:
Weatherstripping, Glass run, door window seal parts,----

It may take some time but once you figure out how to Search on the forum you can find anything/everything.

Here's one example of what you can find by searching:

And here's a link to current thread (similar question) from this week:

Basically find a source that works with you. Some have better discounts but take longer to get the parts (Japan for example)
or there may be high Tariffs and/or Customs duties. Or the web site might imply they have the part in stock when they actually
don't (Toyotapartsdeal) for example).

Ourisman and Olathe in the US have been used by a bunch of people without major complaints.

Just go to the closest dealership. You're in for a very unpleasant surprise if you order them from overseas.

^^^This^^^. Simplest, quickest, most efficient unless money is really tight then wait/look for a parts discount special which is run by
some dealerships for a few days a year for example.

IME wherever you decide to get your parts it helps to develop a relationship with that business/individual, that's often
worth more than a few dollars in savings.

From the #2 post above

"Some have better discounts but take longer to get the parts (Japan for example) or there may be high Tariffs and/or Customs duties."

Since the new Tariffs have been instituted around the World for anything coming into the US, the price to get some parts from overseas may come close to just buying from a US parts source. Partsouq has been a known reliable source of parts but you might get hit with a large bill for the Tariff tacked on to the original estimate. In the past if you kept the total order amount/value to under $800 you often were not charged import duties or extra Tariff costs.

There have been a few recent discussions of very high Tariffs added to the original cost of parts orders coming from overseas.

Try a Search for Tariff or Tariffs on this forum and see what pops up.

Why is that? Have you bought overseas? What happened?
I routinely buy parts from Japan.

My last order came with shipper's (broker's) fees and tariffs valued at 110% of the cost of the parts. This did not include the shipping fee. Ourisman Toyota online would have been cheaper.

I just made a large order, including door seals/runs from IMPEX. Just paid the US Import Duty.

IMPEX

Parts: $377.84
Impex Shipping: $92.59
US Customs Import Duty and DHL Fee: $65.16
Total: $535.59

I removed one part ($61.84 77201-60312) since it wasn't available from Ourisman Toyota for price comparison, original total price was $439.68.
IMPEX total price also includes extra shipping and US Import Duty since 77201-60312 was part of the order. It is a medium sized item.

Ourisman Toyota

$955.45 from
Estimated Shipping: $54.93
Tax: $59.75
Total: $1070.13

Over $500 savings ordering directly from Japan. So, still cheaper ordering overseas with import duty. Remember, US prices are now including that cost into the cost of the part, if that part is sourced overseas.

I'll be interested to see if you get a bill from DHL. That customs fee is very low. UPS provided a copy of the customs bill for each item I was charged a duty on for my last order. Every part was assessed a duty in more than one category. The total charge for the duty exceed the part cost in every case.

I did include the US Import Duties of $65.16, paid to DHL. They sent me a text this morning to pay it before delivery, and I paid it.

UPS (and others) are messing up the import duties. Not making currency changes, charging too much...always confirm if you think it is out of line.

For me, $46.82 is expected given the cost of the order and the import duty from Japan.
