hi all, simple question, ye seem to have both the light and heavy duty 70's over there, wondering, are the doors the same all the long wheel base models, as in, are they interchangeable?

I found this compatibility :

All this heavy duty model share the same door : 70, 71 and 79 from 1985 to today... (probably 76, 77 and 78 too)

73, 74 and 75 can't fit on the model above.

There is probably more cross-reference but this is all I know.

What model is your light and heavy duty 70 cruiser?

Do you mean the back barn doors or front doors

Short wheelbase doors (70, 71) and mid wheelbase (73, 74) doors fit back and forth. The 4 door models (77, 78) use different doors from the 70-74 models.

The back doors all fit, at least in the years I deal with - 1985 - 1996.

Do the troopy rear doors have taller glass than other 7x series?

hi, thanks for the replies. im looking to transplant LJ78 doors, all of them, onto a PZJ77, as all the doors are banged in.
the PZJ oughta should be the same as a HZJ77. they all look like they share the same body, from the bulkhead back

Share the same doors.:D
Is it power window???:)

ah cheers, thats good news. yup, power windows and sunroof. except the pzj is 24v so the motors will have to be switched. should keep me busy for a few hours :) interestingly on the drivers door, the motor failed i suppose, and someone installed a manual winder, but, they must've left the master switch in place in the door somewhere... because the rest of the electric windows work.

71 fits on 75 series I did it.

actually, the 70 series have a few different designs.
76-77-78 front and rear side doors are interchangeable.
the 70/71/79/ 75 troopie are interchangeable except the 70 ragtop.
the 70 ragtop, 73,74,75 pickup are interechangeable
all rear doors except troopie are interchangeable

windscreen glass for all hardtops are interchangeable
windscreen glass for all removable hardtops and soft tops are interchangeable.

the front doors that fit the hardtops can be installed on the removable top trucks with a small filler piece installed in the round corner area.
the front doors that fit the removable top vehicles can not be installed on the hard top trucks.
