Opened my console fridge today and watched the springs fly out along with the handle in my hands. So far I have not found anything on line that discusses this. Thought I would throw it out here. It is a really strange mount. One side is a plastic insert that is a molded part of the handle, the other side is a coiled spring pin but doesn't make sense. No matter what, it will have to be shoved over the plastic to be reinserted. Figured I would see if this has happened to anyone else. Only option I see is to remove the spring pin and drill all the way through the lid. Then install a pin that can be adjusted and set from the outside of the fridge. Really odd design.
