So there I was driving along knowing that I was going to turn 100k on my drive home from getting the sides Line-X'd....then the :princess: called and I got sidetracked. Damn, missed it by that much!

At least the 80 got this little gift for the 100k milestone: (No more plastic, all Line-X)

Isn't there a law...?, yeah but you were probably hands free, right? Law doesn't say anything about camera's does it?

They can be a distraction from more than driving.

Those two colors look very good together, good choice.
I think I've heard you 'splain this before, but why aren't your door handles body color?

Also, did you line'x your bumpers?, across the back what line did you use?
Did you fill the holes or tape them up and let the line'x do the work?

Been thinking about doing this myself, can you tell?

Oh, and congrats on making the milestone. btw, you're almost out of gas.

Dan.

I rolled 20000 last week...but since I have only put like 6000 on it I really didn't get very excited...

Yep...I was hands free but that does not prevent the wife from being distracting. At least I wasn't doing 70MPH!

I brought the truck to Line-X of Santa Ana with over 100 holes in it and they taped and filled all the holes. I did not do the bumpers since they will be replaced soon.

As far as the door handles go...:meh:. I bought it that way so who knows what the previous owners did to it.

Well, about the same here. I bought the truck Oct '07 with about 92k on it.

I missed all my 100k turnovers on Yotas through the years. I get easily distracted too I guess. Congrats, that line-x looks great!

Nice, our trucks have similar history. I bought mine in Nov '07 with 93,700 miles and turned the 100k last month just north of Santa Barbara, near el cap. Kinda cool :)

And you didn't miss the event. Maybe you should not have taken the pic at over 60mph. :D

Hey bighting my gray liner look!!!
Now you need to get your bumpers raw so you can paint them gray as well.

Hmmmm...Interesting thought on the bumpers. Only prob is the sliders are already wrinkle finish black p coat. Might look funny.

If you don't mind me asking, about how much $$$ did LineX charge? i just remove my factory roof rack and would love to do portions of the roof. I took my Tundra to LineX in Santa Ana and they also did a great job for me....

Too much, but it was worth it.

...about $600

Most of the cost was time spent to mask everything off and to fill the 120+ holes. Took them from 0930 to 1700 to complete.

How many coats did they spray on? Can you still see where the holes were taped up if you look closely?

I did four roll-on coats and can still see the dimples of the tape.

Dont know how many coats they applied but you can only see a few of them. Not too bad for over 100 holes. He said they were going to tape and fill with Line-x material, scrape and then spray to help hide the holes as best he could.

haha:flipoff2: Had the gf grab the wheel for the big moment ;)
